Viterbo University's College of Nursing, Health, and Human Behavior invites applications for full time tenure-track faculty positions for the 2018-2019 academic year. Full benefits are included with this appointment. The appointment will begin in Spring of 2019.  Primary teaching assignments are dependent on specialty areas and will be at the undergraduate level.  

We are seeking an individual with graduate level academic preparation, nursing experience, and a true passion for helping students become successful baccalaureate prepared registered nurses. Candidates must be innovative in their pedagogical approach with an understanding of the needs of contemporary nursing practice that is required to provide care for individuals, patients, families, and populations. We seek collegial faculty who view themselves foremost as educators and possess a commitment to scholarship and service to the university and the community.

Viterbo University is a Catholic, Franciscan, liberal arts institution with an enrollment of approximately 2800 students. Viterbo is located in scenic La Crosse, Wisconsin, which has been rated as one of the top places to live in the US.  The region features an attractive cost of living, beautiful bluffs and coulees, three major rivers including the Mississippi River, world class health care and education systems, and easy access to major cities in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois.

Qualifications:  The successful candidate shall have (1) a minimum of a master's degree in nursing with a doctoral degree in nursing preferred, (2) college teaching experience preferred, and (3) significant nursing practice experience.  An active agenda of scholarship and professional activity in academic or nursing practice is preferred as is experience with online course/program delivery.

Rank and Salary: This appointment will be at a faculty rank commensurate with the successful candidate's teaching experience.  Salary competitive with other private institutions of similar size.
