Viterbo University is accepting applications for an Assistant Men's Soccer Coach.

Reports to: Men's Soccer Head Coach


  • Follow all NAIA, AII, and Viterbo University rules and regulations
  • Support the development of student athletes
  • Assist with the coordination of travel, game schedule, inventory and maintenance of equipment.
  • Assist with game management duties. 
  • Assist with planning, execution, and management of practice and games, opponent scouts/film breakdown, on and off-campus recruiting, conditioning/strength and conditioning programs, fundraising events, and various administrative duties for team travel.
  • Must be attentive to detail; keep accurate records; and possess an ability to work with a diverse constituency, including but not limited to students, parents, coaches, faculty, staff administrators, prospective students, and other outside contacts. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Soccer coaching experience (college level preferred)
  • Soccer playing experience (college level preferred)
  • Goalkeeper coach and/or playing experience preferred 
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Organized and dependable
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Help foster and build a culture consistent with the views of the head coach


This is a part-time position.  Hours and days worked will vary depending on the time of the year (most intensive workload during the Fall season). Attendance at all games and practices is expected. Time spent on campus in the office is flexible, and a portion of the administrative and organizational work can be done remotely. Pay is based on experience and time-commitment. Additional money can made through camps, clinics, individual training, club coaching.
