Viterbo University's Department of Nutrition and Dietetics seeks a full time faculty member in the area of community nutrition and food science. This 9-month tenure-track position involves undergraduate/graduate teaching related to human nutrition science, as it connects to community nutrition, food service management and food science. Potential teaching topics may include but are not limited to community nutrition research, food science and food service management. This individual will support the undergraduate and graduate curriculum in dietetics and nutrition. The effective date of the position is 1/11/2021. Summer teaching opportunities will also be available. 

We are seeking an individual who can (1) Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in an ACEND-accredited Coordinated Program in Dietetics (2) Teach graduate courses in a MS program (3) Advise undergraduate and graduate students (4) Supervise graduate student research (5) Participate in scholarly activity and service at the departmental, college and university levels

Minimum Qualifications: (1) Earned Masters degree in foods and nutrition or a related area is required;  (2)Record of diverse experience in the dietetics field (3) Commitment to interprofessional education and student engagement (4) Record of evidence of scholarly agenda and professional development

Preferred Qualifications: (1) Possess current RDN credential (2) doctorate preferred in foods and nutrition or related area; ABD candidates are encouraged to apply but must have doctoral degree completed by starting date (3) Record of diverse experiences in several areas of dietetics; special consideration will be given to candidates with clinical nutrition experience (4) Ability to adapt to the trends and forces facing the dietetics profession, and have a dynamic vision for preparing future dietetics professionals (5) Evidence of professional service

Rank and Salary: This appointment will be at a faculty rank commensurate with the successful candidate's teaching experience.  Salary competitive with other private institutions of similar size.
